A craft or hobby is a non-profit activity or a profession that requires specific specialized skills and knowledge of particular technical work. In an early sense, especially in the Middle Ages and before, the word was generally applied to those engaged in domestic services, such as by scribes or potters. Some occupations in today’s society are considered crafts. Art is an example. There are numerous craftsman industries worldwide: jewelry makers, leather workers, metal workers, sculptors, engineers, painters, photographers, and many more.
